Dude, YES to Metric. I feel like all I ever seen them do are radio shows and Festivals. Lollapalooza this summer will be my 3rd time seeing them, and none of them were their own headlining shows. They'd be fantastic at the Uptown or something.

And give it time. Fun will be headline Night The Buzz Stole Christmas this year. And hell, probably the Halloween show too. Mark my words.

I hate it when bands choose to be openers rather than headline their own shows. I guess that is what we get for being in a small market. Metric is a band that I would love to see in a smaller club, but never seem to head out on their own.

I'm starting to think that Fun. may be a local band now. How many shows is that for them this year in Kansas City?

I wish Garbage was headlining their own gig away from this. Only other time I can recall them coming to KC was opening for U2 at Kemper Arena back in 01 or 02 I think it was.

Fun Fact: Eric Avery of Janes Addiction fame is the current touring bassist in Garbage. So I'm looking forward to that.

Have to agree with you Richard Pepper Buzz shows are THE WORST in regard to their usual audience. Hopefully with a near $45 ticket price it might help weed out some of the more obnoxious drunken types.

A: I'd appreciate it if Silversun Pickups would actually come to KC and play a NON-965 sponsored show, so I can avoid the awful crowds.

B: City Market was by far the worst venue in KC outside of The Beaumont Club, so I guess it's a plus that they've moved it out of there?

I feel differently about movie vs. miniseries. I would like to see an R rated movie of Outlander. Then each of the next books could be their own movie, and people would not be able to wait for the next movie to be released, as the movies of the Twilight/Breaking Dawn series.

It was soooo good. One of the absolute best shows I've ever seen. Rivaled all the times I've seen NIN, Radiohead, etc.

I was at this show and drove from Hays and had to drive back last night and this review just barely how momentous the show was. I've been to plenty of concerts and I've found I prefer smaller venues myself but I have yet to see a light show so intertwined with the music in such a small area as I saw last night. Great review.
